++Title which can change guild wars++
Hey guys, I was thinking, why not introduce a title which shows how good you are for your guild members, or how good they are for eachother.
For instance, you help a guild member complete a mission, this earns u 1 point.
After 25 points u get the first title, Friendly officer(or leader)
And for guild members after 25 points: loyal member
This can go on untill you reach the maximum title: like: legendary guild leader, officer, or heroic members. PS: for the maximum title u would need LOTS of points, because every noob will want to have this title too, making it still cool to have the maximum title on this 1.
The whole concept of this title improves sharing the guild wars experience, meaning: new players don't feel like those guild officers are just sitting there all day ignoring you, guild officers\leaders with these titles can show it while recruiting to let them know they are willing to help, making recruiting more involved with this title, meaning, if you do not have this title, you better earn it fast, if you want new members.
Total effect, guilds start helping their members more, making guilds more then just a big group of people where u have a few friends out of 50 players..
I think this would be a great idea, since guild wars would get a more positive atmosphere.

Oh boy, a popularity contest within a guild as well? Not a good idea. I'm particularly convinced of my opinion after you said this:

You had already self-defeated your suggestion with this:

Noob is a common gamer word, originally: newbie, meaning, new guy/girl, or amateur.
It's not ment as an insult, although plenty of people do use it that way.
When i said i was afraid all noobs would want this title too, I was afraid of this:
"Hey guild leader i need help with thunderhead keep" "What is a thunderhead keep?"
The point in having this title on a max or pretty high rank is to show people your experienced enough to offer help.
You mentioned popularity contests in the guild, what's so bad about that when everybody gets what they want when they ask for help, besides, the whole point of the title system is to let other people show what you have done, if you are mad about popularity contests, go send threat mails to anet, they are the 1s who invented the title system for guild wars, im just making a suggestion to use this feature as a way to get guilds to help their members more.
God I love people who think they got it all figured out, but actually don't get it. ^^
Anywayz, I do thank you for posting this, now other people who wanted to use this as argument know my idea isn't ment that way.

So only way to get these points is to help others do the missions?
What if they prefer to do the missions with henchies? What if you are in a smaller guild where peeps have already completed the missions, so just do AvA/farming/whatever together? What if a group of 4 guildies run some of the quick first missions together? Or a group of 8 guildies doing Imperial Sanctum over and over again, they'd have 50 points in a hour?
Zzzz...

Let me explain: The points earned for this title can only be earned by doing quests, missions and pvp with guild/alliance members. You earn a point when a mission, quest or battle is completed/won.
You cannot help some1 with the same quest/mission more then twice in 1 hour, and for pvp, u cannot earn more then 5 points in 1 hour, making sure people don't exploit this feature and go pvping for ages to get the title to max.
Offcourse this doesnt mean if you fail twice and try again u cannot earn points, since you earn point when the quest, mission or battle is completed/won.
U said what if people already have completed all missions?
Quests. millions of em, and if you have a small guild where people do AvsA all the time, you earn point by helping them.

So AvA guild teams get this title "free" by just playing together regularily, just that a group of 4 peeps play together often doesn't mean the other 50 guys in the guild receive any help at all. The title can be "cheated" so easily that I wouldn't really start throwing titles for something like this. You can also get a lot of "free" points by just starting new charas and playing up to Kaineng Center fedex quests together with guildies.
Of course you could make the tiers start at 1000 points or something so it requires grind, but "how helpful someone is", this title doesn't tell.

Here's your fundamental problem: You're trying to quantify kindness and then get people to compete over who's the most kind.

The goodness of someone's heart should be measured in their actions.
Not their words. Not their titles.

Just help others - you don't need any kind of Titles or badge for helping out other members of your guild!

Guild are supposed to help each other.. This just adds favouritism into a guild and is totally un-needed.

O.o?
Noob is a word used online by lots of people, its a word from an unwritten dictionary, if you want to tell me I did something wrong, spelled something wrong or w/e, do so.
But for crying out loud, don't be so pathectic to start getting me on THAT thing, since the word itself isnt added to any dictionary, the true meaning can only be discovered by seeing how people use it, like i did, not to make up your OWN mind and tell people what it means.
owh and I've read your comments guys, i have to agree, it would be unfair.
Yet the global idea has potential, and that is what I offer arenanet, although I doubt if it will be implemented. Ah well, we try.

No, it is a common understanding that newb/newbie = a new player and noob/n00b = insulting someone, unless you refer to yourself that way perhaps. Google it if needed.
A guild and its members should know each other, know they can ask for help and receive it and not need titles, emotes, or any other such devices added to it.
Besides, couldn't 4 officers do Great Northern Wall over and over and just farm the title in a day?
